Persian, 19th century

The upward curved Wootz blade of this dagger has a pronounced T spine along the length of the blade, the blade terminates with a slight bulge to reinforce the tip. The grips are ivory and secured to the tang which is decorated with gold kofgari work around its whole perimeter. The wooden scabbard covered with a pink and gold patterned fabric and mounted with its original chape.
