India, 1840

This highly sought model of Indian dagger is characterised by its unusually S curved blade, this example has a deeply fullered blade along its length in wootz steel. The dagger terminates in a wide crescent shaped ivory pommel with gilt brass floral rivets securing to the tang and a hand shield in the form of a rising beast.
