An exceptional mid 18th century tripod table attributed to James Allan of Fredericksburg. The solid dished and scalloped mahogany top supported on a birdcage support above a pierced tripod base with acanthus scrolls and unusual twisted foliate tips, on three cabriole legs with pierced work and the original castors.
