A fine early 18th-century pier mirror in the manner of William Kent, the original mirror plate within a boldly carved giltwood frame having egg and dart borders, greek key banding in high relief, draped fabric cascades down the sides. Surmounted with a pediment with a vase of flowers above the frieze with a bird and swags of flowers. the gilding refreshed but otherwise in wonderful original condition.
England, circa 1735.

Attributed to Michelangelo Maestri (Italian, d. 1812)
