In addition to Tables and Seating, Nicholas Wells offers a collection of fine English and European cabinet furniture. We handle pieces from the 17th century through to the 20th. We offer early walnut examples as well as later Georgian, and Victorian pieces in highly figured mahogany, rosewood, satinwood and other exclusive timbers. Here we offer Bureau cabinets, bookcases, side cabinets, commodes and chests of drawers.

Side Cabinets

Imposing breakfront bookcases fashioned from the finest Cuban mahogany are presented alongside French 18th century Louis XIVXVI commodes and fine English Georgian chests of drawers that slide as smoothly today as the day they were made.  Side cabinets are presented in a multitude of forms, for the dining room, the hall, and the library. An incredible flame mahogany collectors cabinet surely has space for the most avid collectors’ prized possessions.  The Governor of Stockholm’s satinwood secretaire abattant once stood in his Royal Palace apartments. Masterworks by Henry Hill of Malborough, Jean Baptist Hedouin, John Linnell, George Bullock, and of course Thomas Chippendale feature strongly in the collection.
